A High- Level Thermal Scan detects the types of faults that are causing the most significant reductions in power output. This is very cost-effective and the return on investment period can be just a few days. Flights are performed rapidly, and the results are delivered quickly, often within 24hours, and in some cases, whilst still on-site. Examples of common faults that are found are:
As the name suggests, a high-level thermal scan is great for high level faults, but not suitable for sub-module faults such as damaged cells or more nuanced anomalies like degradation.
